Base Salary
$241k - $331k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap across applications, AI agents and workflows, integrations, and knowledge infrastructure.
- Architect and maintain reliable, scalable production applications with infrastructure automation and governance.
- Design and build the AI layer, including custom agents, workflows, and knowledge and retrieval infrastructure over connected enterprise data.
- Tech-lead a small team by setting design and code review standards and mentoring contingent engineering support.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders and embedded engineers across Investments, Biohub, and Learning Commons.
Requirements
- 12+ years building production software systems, including meaningful experience as a Senior Staff or Principal individual contributor tech-leading small teams.
- Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production applications, backend services, and integration layers.
- Experience operating cloud infrastructure for production systems using Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Strong enterprise SaaS API integration experience, including authentication, rate limits, schema drift, and failure modes.
- Working fluency with MCP, LLM tool/function calling, current agent frameworks, and retrieval and knowledge infrastructure such as knowledge graphs, vector stores, and RAG.
- Ability to make progress amid ambiguity and evolving requirements.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with senior business partners.
- Preferred experience in enterprise IT, business systems, or platform engineering; hub-and-spoke models with embedded engineering teams; and production LLM applications, custom agents, or agentic workflows.
