Base Salary

$130k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and build response-generation pipelines with routers, orchestrators, synthesizers, context assembly, tool selection, and escalation.
Develop knowledge retrieval systems that ground agent responses in accurate customer data.
Build reliable multi-step workflow and tool-orchestration layers with third-party API failure handling.
Create evaluation frameworks using real conversations to measure quality and detect regressions.
Implement observability and tracing for complex agent pipelines.
Build controls and interfaces allowing support leads to adjust agent behavior without code.
Extend the platform to voice conversations with real-time transcription and tool use.
Optimize model routing, caching, prompt refinement, speed, and cost.
Own infrastructure, data pipelines, integrations, and API work supporting the platform.

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years shipping production systems used by real customers.
Hands-on experience designing and debugging production AI/ML systems, including retrieval pipelines, prompt engineering, or model orchestration.
Experience building and evaluating retrieval systems such as knowledge bases, ranking, context validation, or semantic search.
Experience designing multi-step workflows, tool orchestration, or function-calling systems.
Experience building observability, tracing, or debugging tools for complex pipelines.
Strong evaluation discipline using real-conversation impact measures before shipping changes.
Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, Rust, or Java.
Ability to work across the full stack and take direct ownership of production product systems.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling production failure modes.
Pragmatic judgment about when to use frontier models, fine-tuned variants, or simpler solutions.
Prior voice systems, real-time audio, or low-latency application experience is preferred.
Hospitality, travel, property management, or guest operations experience is preferred.

Base salary of $130,000 to $220,000 per year.
Equity of 0.20% to 1.20%.
