Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate stakeholder and mission requirements into end-to-end technical solution designs.
- Design cloud-native architectures integrating data capture, 3D content pipelines, simulation, asset management, and real-time visualization.
- Lead technology evaluations and trade studies and present recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, interface definitions, and architecture decision records.
- Guide engineering teams from prototype through production while coordinating with government stakeholders, platform engineers, developers, and UX teams.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with DoD accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or cloud engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in a solution architecture or technical architecture role.
- Experience designing AWS cloud-native architectures across compute, storage, networking, identity, and serverless services.
- Experience integrating multiple platforms, data sources, and third-party tools through APIs and event-driven patterns.
- Experience with architecture documentation, technology evaluations, trade studies, and cross-functional Agile delivery.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred experience with AWS GovCloud, hybrid and on-premises architectures, Digital Twin, modeling and simulation, 3D geospatial platforms, 3D data pipelines, physics-based simulation, Kubernetes, containerized architectures, DevSecOps, and DoD ATO, RMF, Zero Trust, test and evaluation, or mission engineering programs.
- Secret clearance and AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certification are preferred.
