Base Salary

$149k - $286k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern the design of complex, multi-phased MuleSoft integration projects using API-led connectivity and integration patterns.
  • Define enterprise integration best practices, reference architectures, reusable assets, API patterns, and platform adoption strategies.
  • Establish DevOps models, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, operational standards, and full API lifecycle management.
  • Lead requirements workshops and deliver architectural blueprint documents for customer projects.
  • Advise client executives and internal sales and delivery teams throughout the pre-sales and project delivery lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior architects, engineers, and consultants on technical design, implementation, and customer-facing practices.
  • Drive technical decisions across complex integration solutions while balancing scope, timelines, and technical debt.
  • Provide field feedback to MuleSoft Product Management and Engineering and influence product direction and roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years leading complex integration and solution architecture initiatives.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on MuleSoft or similar experience designing and implementing API-led connectivity and integration patterns.
  • Expertise in high availability, scalability, SDLC, API lifecycle management, enterprise technical solutions, and API security principles.
  • Experience architecting and managing multiple technical integration projects through the full SDLC, sometimes simultaneously.
  • Experience with MuleSoft and other integration solutions such as IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, and Progress Sonic.
  • Exceptional customer-facing communication and expectation-management skills, including translating complex requirements into solution architectures.
  • Preferred expertise in Microservices, Service Mesh, Serverless, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Management, Exchange, and Flex Gateway.
  • Preferred multi-cloud and DevOps experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Git, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
  • Preferred knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance environments including NIST, ISO 27001, FISMA, HIPAA, and SOX; CKA, CISSP, CISM, or Security+ certifications are desired.
  • Proficiency in at least two of Bash, Go, Python, Ruby, Node.js, Rust, and Java, plus working knowledge of relational, NoSQL, distributed key-value, and time-series databases.
  • U.S. citizenship, no dual citizenship, completion of a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation, and ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Public Trust clearance are required.

  • The stated base salary range is $148,500-$260,100 annually, with location-specific ranges in certain markets; compensation figures are excluded from benefits classification.
