
AES - Software Engineer - Telematics
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Study customer and internal specifications and create component design documents based on the software architecture.
- Develop, modify, port, debug, and maintain embedded software components using C++ and Linux.
- Perform functional, unit, and system testing; participate in code reviews and verify fixes.
- Analyze root causes, resolve software issues, improve KPIs, and address product requirements or performance issues.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and customers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Coordinate software development with HARMAN teams and travel occasionally for training or collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant IT-connected specialization.
- At least 4 years of experience as a software developer.
- At least 3 years of experience with C++.
- Knowledge of C++, Embedded Linux, Linux, embedded applications, inter-process communication, threading, socket communication, and embedded operating systems.
- Working knowledge of software development processes and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include TCP, UDP, MQTT, CAN, Unified Modeling Language, Linux Kernel, and Scrum or SAFe Agile experience.
