Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with strong test coverage.
- Translate product requirements into robust designs for distributed applications.
- Lead design and code reviews across multiple applications.
- Lead sprint teams in delivering new or improved features and resolving impediments.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to deliver intended functionality.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Drive technical strategy and vision for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of software programming experience, including at least 2 years with technologies used at Mercury.
- More than 1 year of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong programming ability in one or more industry-standard languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, design patterns, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, APIs, message queuing, data streaming, workflow, integration frameworks, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience includes 5 or more years of backend development with Java and Python, 4 or more years with AWS technologies, 3 or more years with database technologies, and experience with React.
- Preferred experience includes generative AI or machine learning, cloud platforms, analytics and experimentation, and technical strategy.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, influencing, mentoring, and leadership skills.
