Base Salary
$215k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build scalable, cloud-based solutions and shared foundational components that support customer travel and financial experiences.
- Develop front-end and back-end applications using technologies including React and Scala.
- Collaborate with digital product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features and meet regulatory needs.
- Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor engineers.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to create robust solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud required.
- Preferred: master’s degree.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience with JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- Preferred: 1+ year of people management experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.
- Preferred: experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
