
Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities
- Provide software development services for collateral engineering applications.
- Collaborate with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements.
- Analyze information and recommend solutions to business and technical issues.
- Develop, code, unit test, implement, document, and troubleshoot software solutions.
- Ensure expected application performance levels are achieved.
- Participate in team discussions and provide technical guidance and expert opinion.
- Follow BNY’s standard development methodology and DevOps processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience with strong server-side Java 8 or higher proficiency.
- At least 3 years of software development experience with Angular and front-end UI technologies.
- Experience with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Strong coding and troubleshooting experience with web services and RESTful APIs.
- Strong messaging experience, preferably with IBM MQ.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with Core JavaScript, Angular 16 or higher, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with automation testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cucumber.
- Experience with AI development tools such as Copilot or Windsurf; GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, and Cursor experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with SDLC and DevOps processes, including CI/CD tools and Git.
- Understanding of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk.
- Knowledge of Scrum, strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, data pipelines, and cloud technologies is preferred.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
