Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Java-based applications, APIs, services, and backend systems.
- Build scalable microservices, cloud-native architectures, messaging systems, and real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and architects to define features, design system architecture, and develop technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, documented code and troubleshoot production issues.
- Investigate alternative technologies and present recommendations for architectural review.
- Lead code reviews, ensure coding standards, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java SE/EE and related frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and cloud-native architectures.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, ORM tools, data modeling, and caching mechanisms.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, build tools, version control, and test-driven development.
- Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data pipelines, event-driven architectures, and scalable messaging systems.
- Experience with Ant, Maven, or Gradle and one version-control platform, with Bitbucket preferred.
- Experience with databases and technologies such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, and Memcached.
- Experience or knowledge of SAP Commerce is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, leadership, and team-influence abilities.
