Responsibilities
- Integrate technologies and features into a large codebase spanning modern and legacy designs and multiple hardware architectures.
- Improve memory usage, load times, and software performance.
- Debug defects in development environments and test, debug, and extend other engineers’ code.
- Develop automation, tooling, and workflow enhancements to improve team efficiency.
- Contribute to core EA technologies and collaborative development efforts.
- Design practical solutions with technical and non-technical coworkers.
- Support the Systems engineering team with technical issues and questions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of C++ development experience.
- Knowledge of software engineering and architectural design.
- Understanding of memory management, file systems, multicore processing, and performance optimization.
- Experience using profiling tools to monitor and diagnose issues.
- Experience with build systems, pipelines, source control, multiple compilers, and multiple architectures.
- Experience integrating and maintaining large-scale systems and legacy codebases across multiple disciplines.
- Experience with Python, Lua, C#, and assembly.
- Previous experience shipping console products.
- Experience communicating and collaborating with external team members or teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding agents to prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows, with the ability to validate generated code.
