Responsibilities
- Conduct exploratory performance analysis and root-cause investigations for the SAP HANA database.
- Identify Intel x86-specific optimization opportunities and compare performance between Intel x86 and aarch64 platforms.
- Develop proof-of-concept code changes.
- Build and extend performance analysis tools.
- Collaborate with the Intel on-site engineering team.
Requirements
- Analyze and debug complex problems effectively.
- Have strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Have excellent knowledge of Intel x86 architecture specifics.
- Have a track record using profiling tools such as perf and VTune to analyze performance issues.
- Have good C++ skills.
- Have verbal and written working proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of RDBMS, experience with aarch64, and Python programming experience are preferred.
