Base Salary
$100k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning, standups, retrospectives, technical reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Collaborate on high-level and low-level component and system designs.
- Develop, test, document, and deliver Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and large-scale distributed applications.
- Own production operation and support of software products in user environments.
- Establish and maintain continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.
- Practice paired programming and test-driven development, including front-to-back unit testing.
- Improve application performance and analyze performance bottlenecks.
- Contribute technical input to product backlogs and partner closely with product managers.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience developing REST APIs with Java and Spring Boot, including API documentation, versioning, service discovery, testing, and management.
- Hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale distributed cloud systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience with web and API security, including authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML.
- Experience with backend development, SQL databases, caching, and Kafka messaging.
- Knowledge of Git, artifact management, build and packaging systems, Maven, Gradle, NPM, Artifactory, and Jenkins or similar continuous integration tools.
- Experience in Agile environments or paired programming and engineering models.
- Experience with test-driven development, unit testing, software architecture, and performance analysis.
- React and Python experience are preferred or advantageous.
