
Sr. Enterprise Architect
Northwestern MutualResponsibilities
- Lead development of enterprise architecture designs and patterns.
- Provide architectural alignment across design, coding, testing, deployment, and service management efforts.
- Identify technologies and opportunities that advance the digital organization.
- Align technology decisions across the enterprise with roadmaps and architectural development models.
- Lead technical initiatives and organizational change across the enterprise.
- Design scalable, highly available, reliable cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Guide application rationalization, modernization, cloud migration, and vendor product transitions.
- Lead cross-functional teams through influence, collaboration, and partnership.
- Mentor and coach less experienced professionals.
- Engage and influence senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of Enterprise Architecture experience.
- Bachelor’s degree desired.
- Deep understanding of more than one public cloud platform, including AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Experience delivering multi-data-center strategies spanning cloud and on-premise compute.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Packer, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Understanding of infrastructure automation, triggered events, secure automation practices, cloud connectivity, storage security, key management, and networking.
- Experience architecting, designing, and building scalable, performant, highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Experience selecting, implementing, and transitioning vendor products to production and support.
- Experience with full-lifecycle system deployment and Enterprise Architecture practices.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, solve technical and business problems, communicate with senior stakeholders, and work through ambiguity.
- Experience working in Lean-Agile and DevOps environments.
- Ability to remain technology-agnostic and make enterprise-oriented technical decisions.
