Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects and investigations, defining scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and project designs.
- Design, build, and maintain machine learning pipeline orchestration, predictive analytics, device management, monitoring, and automation platforms.
- Support OTA update campaigns, firmware management tooling, and OTA process operations.
- Maintain monitoring dashboards and customer-support data interfaces for real-time device, network, and platform visibility.
- Lead troubleshooting, stabilization, root-cause analysis, alerting, data synchronization, pipeline failure, and outage-detection efforts.
- Support AWS infrastructure, cloud modernization, compute optimization, load balancing, service configuration, authentication, SSL, backup automation, data normalization, and archival solutions.
- Contribute to database migration, administration, performance tuning, data pipeline development, query optimization, and machine learning deployment support.
- Mentor engineers, represent the team with leadership, manage tickets, and write, review, validate, and audit procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or data analytics, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Advanced engineering fundamentals and experience with Grafana, SQL, NoSQL, Python with Jupyter Notebooks, Elasticsearch, C# or another programming language.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, S3, SageMaker, EC2, ECS, Glue, Kibana, and other data platforms.
- Experience with statistics, econometrics, machine learning, mathematical modeling, simulation, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with production monitoring, alerting, and automation systems, as well as database administration, performance tuning, and migration projects.
- Preferred qualifications include electronic product knowledge, IoT device or sensor monitoring at scale, firmware or OTA update experience, and end-to-end ML pipeline management from training through production monitoring.
- Ability to solve problems independently, exercise appropriate judgment, and drive projects to completion.
