Responsibilities
- Identify, build, and demonstrate innovative Smartsheet solutions for complex customer challenges.
- Lead technical sales engagements by identifying requirements, summarizing challenges, designing solutions, and providing technical guidance.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Smartsheet products, services, and competitors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Professional Services, Product, and Solutions Engineering teams.
- Support onboarding, mentoring, and coaching of team members.
- Represent the customer voice and inform product roadmaps.
- Participate in strategic Solutions Engineering programs and advise customers and peers on industry practices.
- Travel periodically to customer sites and industry events as a technical subject matter expert.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Presales Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Solution Architect, or in a related role in the SaaS and enterprise B2B software industry.
- Strong critical thinking, technical problem-solving, consultative solution-positioning, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ownership in cross-functional work supporting the customer journey.
- Legal eligibility to work in Germany on an ongoing basis.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Transferable skills from other industries or roles may be considered in place of the stated experience.
