SAP ABAP Developer

- Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP RICEFW solutions across reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Build and support SAP integrations using RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Proxies, Web Services, and OData.
- Implement User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and implicit and explicit enhancement frameworks.
- Develop and support SAPscript and Adobe Forms, including debugging, error handling, and integration troubleshooting for IDocs.
- Analyze requirements, prepare Technical Design Specifications, estimate effort, and assess technical impacts.
- Perform unit testing and support SIT, UAT, deployments, cutovers, and hypercare activities.
- Provide production support by investigating incidents, identifying root causes, debugging issues, and implementing sustainable fixes.
- Conduct peer code reviews, optimize application performance, follow secure coding and development standards, and manage SAP transports through Solution Manager.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams, Basis, and Security teams on system changes, roles, and authorizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience across ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Strong experience with RICEFW development, SAP integration technologies, enhancement techniques, SAP Forms, and IDoc development and support.
- Strong ABAP debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience analyzing business requirements and preparing Technical Design Specifications.
- Knowledge of ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, Fiori/UI5, S/4HANA simplifications, and modern extensibility approaches.
- Experience with unit testing and support for SIT and UAT cycles.
- Knowledge of SAP development standards, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and audit requirements.
- Experience managing SAP transport requests and releases, preferably using Solution Manager.
- Ability to collaborate with SAP functional teams across FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, and WM/EWM, and coordinate with Basis and Security teams.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, ownership, prioritization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional and global teams.
- English communication skills and willingness to learn emerging SAP technologies.
