Responsibilities
- Build and lead technical solutions for real-time sports data and digital fan experiences.
- Architect front-end component libraries and scope technical requirements.
- Write type-safe TypeScript and JavaScript applications.
- Optimize web performance, accessibility, responsive assets, and Core Web Vitals.
- Conduct code reviews and promote clean, scalable, maintainable code.
- Own squad-level front-end delivery, task scoping, release management, and technical decisions.
- Manage release pipelines across development, staging, and production environments.
- Document front-end architectures, codebases, and integration guides.
- Mentor developers and establish technical Guilds, Chapters, and working groups.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, backend engineers, clients, and external partners.
Requirements
- Deep fluency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, type safety principles, JSON data structures, and REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, responsive web architectures, and cross-browser and cross-device testing and debugging.
- Advanced Git workflows, code management, build tools, and task automation experience.
- Experience using Jira for ticket estimation, task assignment, and delivery tracking.
- Working knowledge of third-party libraries, media services, video streaming providers, and live data feeds.
- Familiarity with NPM and modern build systems such as Webpack, Vite, or Gulp.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, responsive assets, WCAG accessibility standards, and SEO implementation.
- Experience acting as a Tech Lead or Chapter Lead is valued.
- Ability or interest in people management, including one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career coaching, is optional.
