Responsibilities
- Build, launch, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts using Liquid and modern JavaScript.
- Develop reusable Online Store 2.0 sections, theme components, and custom storefront functionality.
- Integrate Shopify with third-party applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Translate product, design, and technical requirements into secure, accessible, and performant solutions.
- Use AI coding agents while reviewing, testing, and owning the resulting work.
- Write automated tests, diagnose production issues, and monitor storefront performance.
- Participate in estimation, technical discovery, code reviews, and client-facing solution discussions.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering colleagues throughout delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Shopify development experience, ideally including Shopify Plus.
- Preferred experience with JavaScript and React.
- Experience building, launching, and maintaining stores and general knowledge of the Shopify admin system.
- Strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 and experience with made themes and/or the Storefront API.
- Experience with Liquid templating, Shopify apps, custom solutions, Shopify objects and properties, AJAX API, and metafields.
- Thorough testing and debugging skills using the browser console and external tools.
- Experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Experience working with third-party services, APIs, and Shopify-specific plugins.
