Responsibilities
- Drive development as the technical lead for computer vision components across one or more projects.
- Manage requirements, schedules, and tasks for subsystem-level development execution.
- Design, develop, and verify computer vision algorithms, including object detection using image or signal processing.
- Perform software verification, integration, and release management on target hardware.
- Participate in mission-system validation, system testing, and real-time operational support.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from requirements definition through design, test planning, and execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and implementing algorithms primarily involving numerical computation.
- 3+ years of experience developing and verifying object-detection algorithms using image processing or signal processing.
- 5+ years of C and/or C++ development experience, including at least 3 years of embedded software development.
- 3+ years of experience serving as a technical lead for a specialized subsystem-level domain with responsibility for requirements, schedule, and task management.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, and test planning and execution.
- Knowledge of modern software development methodologies and SCM tools such as Git.
- Ability to plan and execute development effectively while collaborating across teams.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
- TOEIC score of 750 or higher and business-level Japanese proficiency.
- Preferred: knowledge of machine learning and AI for image recognition, experience with Unity or Unreal Engine for 3D image simulation, embedded Linux development experience, and scripting experience with Python.
