Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Mentor engineers, support professional development, and drive cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, reliability practices, and enterprise-wide technical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include 9+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages, 5+ years with open-source frameworks and frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, reliability, architecture reviews, coding standards, and technical strategy.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers, leading cross-functional initiatives, and using modern AI-based coding tools and interactive AI tooling is preferred.
