Base Salary
$180k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend systems and REST APIs for millions of users.
- Own features end-to-end from design to deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build cohesive experiences.
- Scale systems to support user and content growth.
- Lead engineering projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize databases, APIs, and services for performance and cost.
- Contribute to technical strategy and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with scalable microservices.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and distributed systems.
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience building systems that handle thousands of requests per second.
- Comfort with cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS preferred) and CI/CD.
- Strong grasp of system design and security best practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
