Base Salary
$97k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable software applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot Microservices, and Hibernate.
- Build and maintain full-stack solutions using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, backend services, and optionally Angular 16+.
- Lead system analysis and architecture activities and produce architecture diagrams, flowcharts, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
- Manage the software development lifecycle from feasibility and technical planning through construction, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.
- Implement security best practices and perform post-implementation analysis to validate functionality and identify improvements.
- Create and maintain automated test coverage using JUnit, Cucumber, and Playwright.
- Act as a technical authority for senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams and help define engineering standards and processes.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers.
- Plan and prioritize project work using Agile methodologies and JIRA.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software application development or systems design.
- Deep backend development expertise with Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, and Hibernate.
- Strong command of Oracle PL/SQL for database development.
- Experience producing architecture documentation, flowcharts, and UML-style activity and sequence diagrams.
- Experience managing projects using Agile methodologies and JIRA.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one software application development area and the ability to guide technical decisions independently.
- Strong proficiency with Git and collaborative, multi-team development environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Working knowledge of Angular 16+ is beneficial.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Devin is beneficial.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologies is beneficial.
