Responsibilities
- Onboard customers to Mistral products and APIs and provide guidance on prompting, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
- Deploy AI and LLM use cases into production and ensure effective integration with backend and frontend interfaces.
- Work with customers on advanced RAG, agentic applications, complex fine-tuning, and other generative AI projects.
- Collaborate with researchers, product engineers, and science teams to improve product and model capabilities based on customer feedback.
- Contribute to open-source codebases related to inference and fine-tuning.
- Participate in pre-sales calls, understand customer needs, and provide technical guidance on Mistral technologies.
- Manage daily relationships with customer stakeholders including CEOs, CTOs, data scientists, and software engineers.
Requirements
- Fluency in English.
- PhD or master’s degree in AI or data science.
- At least two years of experience as a technical individual contributor, such as a data scientist or software engineer, on AI-based products.
- Experience fine-tuning LLMs and working on advanced RAG or agentic use cases.
- Deep understanding of machine learning and LLM concepts and algorithms.
- Experience building and deploying LLMs or NLP applications.
- Experience implementing AI or machine learning products using APIs, backend interfaces, and frontend interfaces.
- Strong coding skills in Python.
- Experience with deep learning using PyTorch.
- Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain and vector databases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Open-source contributions, particularly in LLM-related projects, are preferred.
- Experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager is preferred.
