Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimates, application development, model development, and systems analysis.
- Design, build, test, implement, monitor, and support application systems and programs.
- Develop high-scale and performant software platforms for data computation and processing using Core Java and Apache Spark.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend programming solutions.
- Optimize Oracle database schemas and queries and write SQL queries.
- Develop security measures and perform post-implementation analysis of business usage.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and provide operational support.
- Follow procedures, help define operating standards, assess technology risk, and address control issues.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of relevant experience using Java, Apache Spark, and big data technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience building high-scale, performant software platforms for data computation and processing.
- Strong Core Java development expertise, including Spring Boot, object-oriented programming concepts, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark using Java.
- Experience with caching solutions such as Pinot and Redis.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, including schema design and query optimization.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems.
- Experience with Unix-based operating systems, shell scripting, and SQL queries.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket and Git.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and familiarity with consulting or project-management techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, independent-work, communication, teamwork, deadline-management, and adaptability skills.
- Banking-domain experience involving pricing or risk is a plus.
