Responsibilities
- Lead technical implementation of quality control, testing, analysis, and quality governance.
- Define project test strategies and plans covering environments, automation, performance, test data, functional testing, integration, system testing, and regression testing.
- Lead functional, non-functional, performance, data-validation, ETL, and end-to-end integration testing across multiple Scrum teams.
- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze requirements, design test scenarios, review test coverage, implement test scripts, and drive defect prevention and continuous quality improvement.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across enterprise applications, ETL platforms, databases, and data services.
- Manage defect tracking, test execution, status reporting, defect reporting, root-cause analysis, triage, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Analysts on non-functional requirements and performance-testing plans.
- Use Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted practices for test-case design, test-data creation, Python automation, SQL development, and ETL validation.
- Communicate work status to stakeholders and mentor Associate Engineers, Engineers, and Senior Engineers as needed.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in Software QA or Development Engineering.
- Proven ability to lead and implement test strategies and plans involving automation, performance, end-to-end integration, test environments, and test data.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, Agile testing, shift-left testing, risk-based testing, requirement analysis, test planning, defect prevention, and quality governance.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java, including object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
- Experience building scalable test automation frameworks and automating data validation, API testing, and ETL testing workflows using Python.
- Expertise validating data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems and analyzing large datasets for anomalies and bottlenecks.
- Hands-on experience validating data in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or other enterprise databases.
- Experience integrating automated test suites with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail or equivalent test-case management tools, defect triage, and quality metrics reporting.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, pull-request reviews, and testing applications or data platforms hosted on Azure.
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot for test-case design, test-data creation, requirement analysis, Python automation, SQL development, and ETL or data-validation testing.
- Openness to adopting AI-driven development and testing practices.
