Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing mobile features for more than 100 million customers.
- Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture, design patterns, API design reviews, and reusable component development.
- Mentor engineers through feedback, code reviews, platform best practices, and technical obstacle removal.
- Develop subject matter expertise in mobile performance, accessibility, architecture, and advanced platform capabilities.
- Lead the design and development of client Backend-for-Frontends and Server-Driven UI architectures.
- Define engineering practices for feature flags, staged rollouts, coding, testing, quality, and user experience.
- Champion agentic AI tools and AI-native development practices.
- Make hands-on technical contributions across the modern Android and mobile ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android with Kotlin or iOS with Swift.
- Experience with native UI frameworks such as SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose.
- Experience designing automated mobile testing suites using tools such as Swift Testing, XCUI, JUnit, or Espresso.
- Experience with mobile performance optimization, scalable architectures, reusable component libraries, modular architecture, and state management.
- Experience building mobile Backend-for-Frontends with technologies such as GraphQL and gRPC/Protobuf.
- Experience with Server-Driven UI, metrics-driven staged rollouts, and feature-flag strategies.
- Expertise with agentic AI coding tools and AI-assisted workflows.
- Familiarity with on-device machine-learning frameworks such as CoreML or TensorFlow Lite.
