Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze business problems and client requirements that require organizational change.
- Develop business requirements and solutions addressing business problems and opportunities.
- Build low-latency, high-throughput Java applications with optimized memory, threading, and data-structure performance.
- Analyze and modernize legacy application codebases using design patterns and maintainable, scalable architectures.
- Develop Spring Boot applications using Spring Core principles and dependency injection.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
- Support business cases, feasibility studies, project progress reporting, operational design, process design, and change management activities.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and contribute to governance, policy, and procedure development.
- Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in core Java, including multithreading, garbage collection, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput applications with advanced memory management and thread optimization.
- Ability to rapidly understand legacy application codebases and design modernized solutions with industry-standard patterns and best practices.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Core, and dependency injection patterns.
- Highly valued: hands-on experience with JMS, Solace, and Kafka.
- Highly valued: proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, and Maven.
- Highly valued: Unix/Linux command-line proficiency and shell scripting capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate complex information, manage risk and controls, and influence stakeholders.
