Base Salary

$124k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build forward-looking data strategies and technical architectures for broad or complex requirements.
  • Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy scalable data platforms, distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, and microservices.
  • Develop data warehouses, big-data platforms, structured and unstructured data solutions, and real-time and batch processing systems.
  • Plan and deliver technical backlogs, features, systems, and production implementations while owning their long-term health.
  • Lead a broad functional area, guide team planning and execution, and represent engineering in cross-functional sessions.
  • Develop and operationalize AI/ML models, including feature engineering, data pipelines, model deployment, and model monitoring.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineering teams, Support, and Operations to build features and resolve production issues.
  • Improve engineering and data standards, tooling, processes, quality, performance, scalability, risk management, and data protection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Typically eight or more years of relevant experience.
  • Seven or more years developing complex data platforms, distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, or microservices.
  • Six or more years developing data warehouses, big-data platforms, real-time and batch processing, and data standards.
  • Four or more years developing business intelligence solutions.
  • Two or more years developing or operationalizing AI/ML models and model lifecycle activities.
  • Experience delivering business-critical systems, designing scalable systems, and implementing data warehouses using SQL Server or equivalent.
  • Experience with HDFS, Elasticsearch, ETL development, reusable frameworks, Python, Spark, PySpark, R, or DataRobot.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging frameworks, cloud infrastructure, testing, secure coding, SDLC practices, and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred qualifications include an MS or PhD, TensorFlow, SageMaker, scikit-learn, PyCharm, Cloudera, Amazon S3, Oracle, Aerospike, Scality S3, AppDynamics, Kubernetes, FinTech, ACH/EFT, RTP, and FedNow experience.
  • Must complete a background and drug screen and meet the stated physical and communication requirements.
