Base Salary
$200k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own partner integration projects through scoping, solution-design handoff, build, integration, go-live, maintenance, and expansion.
- Write production-quality Java code for partner features and integrations.
- Translate solution designs into scoped implementation plans and identify gaps or necessary design changes.
- Embed with partner engineering teams as their primary technical counterpart.
- Debug cross-system issues involving Bilt APIs, partner systems, webhooks, and data flows.
- Maintain engagements after go-live and support ongoing maintenance and expansion.
- Create API documentation, integration guides, and sample code.
- Use Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as part of the development workflow.
- Travel to partner sites as needed, including frequent and short-notice travel.
- Establish technical patterns and quality standards through hands-on example rather than people management.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of hands-on engineering experience with partner or client implementation projects across multiple engagements.
- Strong Java proficiency; Spring Boot and REST experience are a plus.
- Deep hands-on experience with APIs, OAuth/OIDC, webhooks, versioning, and edge-case reasoning.
- Direct experience building features or integrations alongside client or partner engineering teams.
- Ability to scope and adapt solution designs into practical implementation plans.
- Excellent technical communication with audiences ranging from junior developers to CTOs.
- Demonstrable AI-assisted development workflow.
- Willingness to own maintenance and expansion well beyond go-live.
- Willingness to travel frequently and on short notice.
- Experience informally mentoring or technically guiding engineers is a bonus.
- Fintech, payments, POS, or loyalty/subscription platform experience is a bonus.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, CI/CD, containerization, or infrastructure as code is a bonus.
