Base Salary
$97k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend web applications and scalable, reliable distributed services using Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Participate in software lifecycle activities including design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot backend services, database interactions, and system performance.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, systems engineers, testers, and mission stakeholders.
- Work independently and as part of a cross-functional technical team in a mission-critical environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, graduate degree and 4 years of related experience, or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Expertise developing backend web applications with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, scalable distributed services, and APIs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes Docker, OCI-compliant systems, Linux, Windows Server, web development, GraphQL APIs, or similar data-querying patterns.
- DoD 8570 compliance and CompTIA Security+ are preferred, as is experience with space operations, SDA systems, or orbital modeling and simulation tools.
