Responsibilities
- Design, build, administer, upgrade, and automate Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform clusters.
- Develop platform capabilities and components using automation, scripting, infrastructure as code, Go, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
- Build API integrations between platform services and enterprise systems.
- Design and implement CI/CD and GitOps solutions using GitHub, Argo CD, and Tekton.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on scalable, resilient cloud-native solutions.
- Implement platform observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, reliability, and operational excellence practices.
- Support microservices-based workloads and distributed systems running on container platforms.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong experience administering Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform, including cluster deployment, upgrades, lifecycle management, and automation.
- Proficiency in software development and strong object-oriented programming concepts.
- Hands-on development experience with Go, Python, or a similar programming language.
- Experience with GitHub, Argo CD, Tekton, CI/CD, GitOps, API integration, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks.
- Strong individual-contributor experience designing and implementing platform solutions.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native design principles.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes Operators, Custom Controllers, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, Ceph, OpenShift Data Foundation, HashiCorp Vault, and hybrid or private cloud environments.
- Preferred knowledge of platform security, governance, and compliance best practices.
