Base Salary
$155k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using OpenTofu.
- Operate Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS and manage GitOps deployments with Argo CD and Helm.
- Develop automation and operational tooling using Python and scripting languages.
- Support AWS services including Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, Amazon MQ for RabbitMQ, load balancers, IAM, VPC networking, DNS, and security groups.
- Implement Datadog monitoring, dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, and tracing.
- Troubleshoot production issues, support incident response and root cause analysis, and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment reliability.
- Partner with engineering and security teams on infrastructure standards, operational readiness, and cloud security.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, cloud engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience and production experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
- Experience with OpenTofu, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, plus Argo CD, Helm, and GitOps deployments.
- Strong Python and scripting experience, including Bash or shell scripting.
- Production experience supporting Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, Amazon MQ for RabbitMQ, observability platforms such as Datadog, and cloud networking.
- Experience with Kubernetes autoscaling, ingress controllers, cluster upgrades, resource optimization, backup and restore, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected principles, cloud security best practices, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- AWS or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call and incident response, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentor others.
