Base Salary
$165k - $239k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for the mobile platform.
- Continuously improve reliability, performance, and observability across the stack.
- Write clear technical specifications and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Debug complex challenges that span backend and mobile layers.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and QA to ship high-impact features.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong backend expertise in Ruby on Rails.
- Experience designing, building, and operating production systems focused on reliability and performance.
- Proficiency in designing and building APIs for mobile or distributed consumers.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with cloud environments like AWS and/or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with testing across the stack.
- Comfort with modern frontend frameworks like React.
- Ability to deliver features end-to-end from design to implementation.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
