Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack software across backend services and customer-facing interfaces.
- Develop APIs and integrations across the platform and build features with Angular, the design system, and component library.
- Take features from discovery and technical design through implementation, release, production operation, and iteration.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to design discussions and code reviews, support teammate development, and connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional software-engineering experience is likely, with scope valued more than an exact number.
- Strong full-stack experience across backend services and frontend interfaces.
- Experience building and operating APIs, services, or transactional product systems in a product, SaaS, or similarly fast-moving environment.
- Sound engineering fundamentals in data modeling, testing, security, performance, cloud patterns, and maintainability.
- Ability to take ambiguous problems through to practical outcomes and learn from production incidents or customer feedback.
- Clear communication, curiosity, and comfort giving and receiving honest feedback.
- Willingness to work from the South Melbourne office three days per week.
- Experience with C#, .NET, T-SQL, AWS, and Angular is relevant, while strong experience with Java, Go, Kotlin, or Python may also be considered.
