Base Salary
$125k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable Java applications, REST APIs, and backend services.
- Develop high-volume, highly available messaging platform services for email, push notifications, SMS, and other communications.
- Translate requirements into technical designs and implement unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Improve platform reliability, CI/CD processes, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture, design, API, environment, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with technical leads, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and distributed Agile teams.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 9+ years of professional software development experience building enterprise web applications, including full-stack Java development and mentoring junior developers.
- 5+ years of experience building REST services for high-volume, highly available environments.
- 6+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- 4+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful services with Spring Boot.
- Experience applying software design patterns and SOLID principles to scalable application development.
- Experience with CI/CD concepts, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Preferred experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Spring Batch.
- Preferred experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment and experience working in Agile teams.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, manage competing priorities, document technical solutions, and learn evolving technologies.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model; fully remote work is not permitted.
