Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable Salesforce software solutions.
- Create Apex code, Salesforce Lightning UI, and LWC applications in a large corporate environment.
- Produce architecture, design, specification, and technical documentation while ensuring implementation meets design constraints.
- Integrate Salesforce with external APIs and support REST API connectivity, messaging, and data transfers.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to monitor data quality and integrity.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation throughout the SDLC.
- Validate and refine AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, secure coding, and responsible data-handling practices.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene, application quality, and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied Salesforce development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Salesforce code in a large corporate environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the Apex programming language and its limitations.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce Lightning UI and LWC.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce Lightning Connect and external API integration.
- Experience with REST APIs, messaging, data transfers, OAuth2, caching, future calls, Outlook integration, and Open CTI.
- Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and processes for continuous data quality and integrity monitoring.
- Ability to interpret system and business requirements and prepare specification and design documents.
- Understanding of sales processes and how to align changes to a CRM platform.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, application resiliency, security, and agile development practices.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and testing tools for code generation, code review, test creation, troubleshooting, and defect analysis.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs and guide peers on safe usage.
- Preferred: Salesforce certifications, familiarity with modern front-end technologies, exposure to cloud technologies, and experience designing or integrating AI-driven Salesforce features.
