Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials based on functional requirements and analysis.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide technical feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical designs.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, code reviews, and technical direction for scalable web services and SaaS products.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard operating procedures, and enhancing existing applications and codebases.
- Investigate and apply relevant technologies, including cloud, DevOps, AI, automation, and engineering-toolchain solutions.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders, mentor less experienced developers, and lead or participate in additional projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Java full-stack development or Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 10 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and mission-critical, low-latency solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented with Java.
- Strong experience leading the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, shell scripting, software security tools and practices, big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains is preferred or advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational, collaboration, decision-making, and mentoring skills.
