Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, automated Azure and Snowflake data platform components.
- Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Implement observability practices covering logging, metrics, alerting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with lead engineers and architects to align implementations with platform standards and patterns.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and promote automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Document technical designs and present platform solutions to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive platform engineering experience with a strong emphasis on Azure-based data solutions.
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure and/or Snowflake services, including Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure ML, and Power BI/Fabric.
- Proven experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of observability, logging, metrics, alerting, and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of cloud security and secure-by-design principles in Azure and/or Snowflake, including network isolation, IAM, and data protection.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for scripting and automation.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, data science, and business teams.
- Strong communication skills, including technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
- Leadership and mentoring experience is highly desirable.
