Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end applications in collaboration with designers, business analysts, and testing specialists.
- Modernize legacy applications by adopting current technologies and frameworks.
- Coordinate development, testing, and implementation work across onshore and offshore teams.
- Embed information security standards while maintaining application performance and production stability.
- Analyze and resolve incidents, optimize performance, and escalate issues when needed.
- Participate in rotating on-call support, periodic weekend or after-hours work, and occasional travel between Sun Life locations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional IT experience in Agile-based application development.
- Proficiency with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, REST APIs, SOAP-based web services, SQL, and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of relational database concepts and familiarity with TFS, Git, Artifactory, NuGet, and unit test automation.
- Familiarity with modern development tools including GenAI and Copilot.
- Java experience and a financial services or insurance background are preferred.
- Ability to obtain Reliability Status Clearance, including required law-enforcement inquiry and credit check processes.
