Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the Android application.
- Contribute to platform development and Android architecture.
- Solve product and engineering challenges pragmatically.
- Help inform product design and direction.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including at least 2 years building and shipping production Android apps and at least 3 years in a startup environment.
- Strong Kotlin skills and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
- Proficiency with protobufs, REST, and gRPC, ideally in data-heavy or distributed systems environments.
- Experience with Android unit, instrumentation, and UI testing and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership, strong communication, and a solid university background.
