Base Salary
$16k - $282k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, own, and maintain large-scale distributed systems for listings, order fulfillment, settlements, and seller intelligence.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, front-end developers, product owners, and other cross-functional teams to develop scalable and resilient applications.
- Establish and execute short- and long-term design and architectural roadmaps.
- Improve the efficiency, flexibility, performance, availability, and customer trust of the business platform.
- Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code using distributed-application development best practices.
- Conduct testing and debugging to identify and resolve software issues.
- Provide technical direction to junior engineers and continue innovating to support Rocket Growth programs.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience working with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems.
- At least 6 years of professional coding experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, or C#.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile development environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Preferred experience delivering complex software systems to customers, communicating with users and senior management, influencing engineering best practices, working across front-end and back-end technologies, and delivering customer-focused solutions.
