Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design minimum viable tests and prototypes to de-risk novel AI concepts.
- Execute technical spikes in short, iterative sprints to resolve architectural hurdles and establish core feasibility.
- Build novel design, coding, and product solutions using agentic systems, including planning, memory, context, tool use, and loops.
- Analyze early technical and user signals to assess project feasibility and guide decisions.
- Partner with small, cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous ideas into concrete technical and product directions.
- Blend Software Engineering with Product Management, Research, Data Science, and UX Research functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience in speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML field.
- 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, or fine-tuning.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML systems, especially Large Language Models and agentic systems.
- Preferred experience with system design, evaluation methodologies, and quantitative data analysis.
- Understanding of agentic architectures, including loops, skills, context management, planning, tool use, and evaluations.
- Ability to work in small-team or startup environments and build new products amid uncertainty.
