Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Implement high-quality code using clean-code, testing, architectural, and performance-optimization practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
- Use event-driven architecture to build robust, asynchronous, scalable, and decoupled systems.
- Design and maintain efficient relational database integrations.
- Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and the promotion of engineering best practices.
- Use AI code companions and intelligent development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- Mentor, coach, onboard, and support team members while fostering a safe and collaborative environment.
- Provide troubleshooting, solution design, estimation, client interaction, and pre-sales support.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java 17, SOLID principles, design patterns, and layered or ports-and-adapters architecture.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and web services.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Oracle DB, GitLab, and Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with JUnit, JMeter, and ArchUnit or similar unit-testing tools.
- Regular experience using AI tools responsibly for productivity, automation, decision support, and higher-quality outcomes.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, source-control, communication, and consulting skills.
- Advanced English-language skills.
- Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
