Responsibilities
- Build ML-powered systems with Data Scientists and ML Engineers from initial design through production validation.
- Design and build robust backend services in Golang for financial risk steering and decision-making workflows.
- Design, develop, and operate end-to-end distributed systems in the cloud.
- Develop event-driven systems and scalable, resilient software.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical documentation.
- Partner with Risk, Engineering, and Data Science stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Strong production experience in Golang and confidence with at least one additional language such as Python or Java.
- 7–10 years of experience in sophisticated technology environments, including cloud-native applications, scalability challenges, and event-driven solutions.
- Experience designing or operating distributed systems and microservices architectures at scale.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or similar services.
- Understanding of event-driven platforms, publish-subscribe systems, and messaging brokers such as Kafka, NSQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with ML-powered products is preferred.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor or Claude, with the judgment to recognize their limitations.
- Product-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
