Responsibilities
- Define the architectural vision and long-term strategy for CI/CD pipelines and frameworks across backend and frontend systems.
- Architect reliable deployment and rollback workflows with appropriate security, efficiency, compliance, and automated testing standards.
- Establish repository standards and engineering benchmarks for pull requests, cycle time, velocity, code quality, and systemic reliability.
- Design and build scalable tooling to improve CI/CD adoption and coverage across teams and repositories.
- Lead efforts to apply AI within the CI/CD lifecycle and accelerate software development.
- Consult with feature teams on complex engineering challenges and implement organization-wide improvements based on incident root-cause analysis.
- Oversee the health, performance, and stability of the company-wide CI/CD environment.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience and a history of leading complex, high-impact technical projects.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience with the ability to remain close to the code while setting broader architectural direction.
- Strong root-cause analysis, deep-stack debugging, and systemic failure prevention skills.
- Experience designing scalable systems across the stack, including React-based dashboards and Python services.
- Passion for applying AI to software quality and accelerating the software development lifecycle.
- Experience experimenting with AI in professional or personal projects and willingness to learn new AI tools and workflows responsibly.
- Strong ownership of platform health, technical debt, and engineering excellence.
- Deep experience with modern CI/CD tools and automated testing in high-frequency deployment pipelines.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $176,000–$264,000 USD, with potential bonus, equity, sign-on payments, and health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
- The role may require up to 10% travel, coordinated in advance, for onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events.
