Responsibilities
- Perform unit, component, Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, System, and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing for automotive software components.
- Create stimuli models, test specifications, and test cases covering requirements, equivalence classes, boundary values, and code coverage including DC and MC/DC.
- Execute tests, analyze results, prepare test reports, and participate in requirements analysis and review.
- Derive test specifications from approved requirements and support development of test processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Develop test automation, troubleshoot technical issues, and communicate findings to prevent recurring problems.
- Participate in the design, testing, and optimization of development and validation processes.
- Mentor junior team members when operating at the senior level.
Requirements
- A major in Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics, Electronics-Telecommunication, Mechatronics Engineering, Physical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in embedded testing or software testing.
- Good C/C++ programming skills.
- Experience with Codebeamer or Door and Git.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, TPT, and Embedded Coder.
- Experience with EXAM or a comparable tool chain.
- Experience with CANoe, CANape, and NovaCarts or comparable tools.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and V-model.
- Experience with emulators, simulators, debugging, and test equipment.
- Basic knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, semiconductors, communication protocols, and network protocols.
- Automotive domain knowledge, analytical and debugging skills, and good English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include MATLAB/Simulink or ASCET model-language knowledge, model-based design experience, ISTQB Foundation certification, Python or VBA scripting, AUTOSAR software architecture knowledge, powertrain knowledge, and German communication skills.
