Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform across AWS and Azure.
- Automate cloud infrastructure deployment, monitoring, management, incident response, and Kubernetes operations.
- Monitor production stability and performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation.
- Scale infrastructure while optimizing reliability, capacity, and cost.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, services, and platform teams to bring new services and features into production.
- Develop Terraform modules, pipelines, deployment patterns, guardrails, automation, and reusable operational procedures.
- Manage service intake and triage, prioritize platform work, and meet service response and resolution commitments.
- Author and maintain operational, architectural, stakeholder, policy, and process documentation and deliver live demonstrations.
- Support tenant and environment lifecycle workflows, including provisioning, URLs, certificates, and related controls.
- Ensure information security and compliance standards are met and produce production-ready assets for new cloud services, datastores, and deployment patterns.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably in highly available SaaS or cloud service environments.
- At least 5 years of experience with public cloud infrastructure, with meaningful depth in AWS and/or Azure; experience with both clouds is preferred.
- Hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production, preferably Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, or an equivalent managed Kubernetes service.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform.
- Experience with release automation and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Linux administration and debugging experience in large-scale environments.
- Experience using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable programming and scripting languages to automate operations and manage cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of system and networking concepts, troubleshooting techniques, collaboration, leadership, and process influence.
- Preferred experience operating under SLAs or structured intake in a platform, infrastructure, or internal-customer context.
- Preferred experience with Java/JVM-based services, Kafka, Elasticsearch, data platforms, or .NET workloads.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience; AWS and/or Azure certifications are helpful.
