Base Salary

$130k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own edge networking configuration, including routing, WAF policy, rate limiting, and certificate management.
  • Evolve the ingress layer, including controllers, lifecycle, policy, and the Ingress API, for reliable, observable, self-service inbound traffic.
  • Manage DNS across internal clusters and external zones.
  • Build network-layer observability for latency, error rates, and routing visibility.
  • Extend networking into new geographies to support scalable, performant, and maintainable regional expansion.
  • Help define the new team’s practices and technical standards, including SDLC, AI tooling, static analysis, chaos engineering, and simulation.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping production services in a polyglot environment such as Go or TypeScript.
  • Experience diagnosing production issues at the network layer, including problems involving proxies and load balancers.
  • Practical Kubernetes networking experience with ingress controllers, DNS, and network policies.
  • Practical experience managing infrastructure as code and designing safe, governed, low-friction change processes.
  • Experience building internal platforms or tools and driving adoption across engineering teams.
