Responsibilities
- Design and develop data integration and processing applications that replicate data into Snowflake using CDC patterns.
- Develop and extend a standardized connector platform, including APIs, blueprints, frameworks, scheduling services, and resource-allocation capabilities.
- Optimize ingestion performance, secure data transfers, and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, customers, architects, and external developers to translate requirements into connector solutions.
- Create design documents and present them to architects and other stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor a group of engineers and coordinate communication to achieve team goals.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale systems.
- Experience with high-performance, scalable software in internet-scale distributed cloud environments.
- Fluency in Java.
- Experience with SQL and a strong understanding of relational databases.
- Interest in building well-designed infrastructure and APIs.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in cloud environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to collaborate with diverse peers and external developers.
- Willingness to learn, experiment with, and integrate modern AI tools into daily workflows.
