Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver secure, highly scalable software systems used across more than 70 countries.
- Lead backend engineering for distributed payment systems using Java, Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
- Own services end to end, including infrastructure automation and continuous deployment.
- Define testing strategies covering unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
- Diagnose production issues across multi-region distributed microservices and promote reliability, on-call, and observability practices.
- Make architectural decisions and apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design.
- Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering software systems in complex business domains at global scale, preferably in fintech or payments.
- Deep backend engineering expertise, preferably involving distributed systems.
- Hands-on expertise with Java, Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JUnit.
- Strong ownership mindset and interest in automation, CI/CD, and reliability.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and attention to quality and performance.
- Preferred: experience with payments, wallets, anti-fraud, event-driven architectures such as Kafka, or mentoring engineers.
